Our two German companies, STAHLSCHMIDT International Holding GmbH and SCS Deutschland GmbH und Co. KG, have been manufacturing Bowden cables and technical springs at our headquarters since 1924. With 220 members of staff, we use the latest technology to produce on a manufacturing area of about 8,000 m². Here, situated in the heart of Europe, is our development centre.

The SCS Polska z.o.o. production site was established in November 2003.

This rapidly growing company primarily serves our major customers in Eastern Europe, most of which are associated with the automotive industry. The company currently employs about 250 people. The company premises are located on a site of about 1.2 hectares, of which some 3,000 m² are taken up by the buildings (of which 2,250 m² are production space).

A new style joint venture has been operating here under the name SCS Magyarország KfT since 1993.

The products manufactured at this site are as varied and as technologically advanced as those made at the main factory in Berghausen. This factory is used to supply customers in South-Eastern Europe and to provide our main factory with high-quality products. Following the construction of the new facilities in 1997 and 2001 - they are in the immediate vicinity of the motorway - 220 employees now work on a site with a total size of 4,000 m² (of which 2,500 m² are production area).

Our SCS Canada facility officially named Stahlschmidt Ltd is responsible for supplying our customers in North America and Mexico. Although being linked to the German mothercompany this organization is mostly working independtly. We have established our own sales&engineering team to explicitly please our NAFTA customers. The company was established as early as 2000. The Canadian site is on the cusp of rapid growth - it currently employs 80 members of staff on premises measuring 1200 m².
